Resolute Robotics is the perfect tool to introduce learners to robotics, engineering, and programming. Learners often struggle to understand how the theory they learn applies to their everyday lives. Through Resolute Robotics, learners will be able to build their own robot and bring it to life. Learners will focus on creating and building real-world projects such as an automated hand sanitiser and home automation system. Resolute Robotics teaches critical skills, including complex problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity, and coordination with peers. The course also aims to improve learners’ skills in the following fields:

Stream: Grades 7 – 9

The course for Grades 7 – 9 starts with an introduction to Arduino and fundamentals of circuit theory, where learners will learn about sensors, processing real-world data, and automation. Learners will be able to transfer and test their knowledge and skills by building engineering-based projects such as:
  • An automated hand sanitiser – An infrared sensor is used to detect a hand after which electronic circuitry such as relays and buck converters are used to control the water pump to release a few drops of sanitiser onto the learner’s hands.
  • A home automation system – Learners can challenge themselves by applying their programming and engineering skills to design and build a home automation system that automates everyday tasks. Learn about servo motors, temperature and infrared sensors, fans, buzzers, lighting, and security systems.
  • Python Game Development – Learners will learn to build games such as tic-tac-toe, tennis, and hangman. Students will learn to build games such as tic-tac-toe, tennis, and hangman. Students will also learn about concepts such as variables, program flow, debugging, loops, and functions using a lightweight application called VS Code.

What’s included in the kit?

The learner receives access to a robotic kit and an online learning platform. The robotic kit has over 29 types of components, including an Arduino microcontroller, multimeter, motors, water pumps, sensor modules, LEDs and fans. Apart from the recommended projects, with a little bit of creativity, these components can be reused to create over 100 projects.
